Compatibility with SharpCap and FireCapture Software Packages#
Basler doesn't officially support software packages like SharpCap or FireCapture. These software packages are developed and promoted by people in the amateur astronomy community.
SharpCap is based on the pylon C.NET interface from within the pylon SDK. With pylon SDK v.6.2, Basler discontinued the support of pylon C.NET and now offers pylon .NET. With this change, the aforementioned package did no longer work with Basler products. SharpCap 4.1 restored compatibility as the developer rewrote his code.
