How Does the Multiple ROI Feature Affect the Framerate?#
The Multiple ROI feature is a standard feature of Basler ace 2 and boost R cameras.
The resulting frame rate corresponds to the frame rate of an equivalent image ROI.
For instance, consider an ace 2 with this setup:
- Column 1 size = 1000
- Column 2 size = 800
- Row 1 size = 200
- Row 2 size = 600
The resulting multiple ROI size is (1000 + 800) x (200 + 600) = 1800 x 800.
The frame rate will be the same as the frame rate of a camera with an image ROI of 1800 x 800 without the multiple ROI feature.
