Device Temperature (blaze)#

The Device Temperature feature available on blaze cameras allows you to determine the temperature at the following locations: laser board, sensor board, image sensor, and CPU.

Using the Feature#

Determining the Device Temperature#

To determine the device temperature:

  1. Set the DeviceTemperatureSelector parameter to the desired location where you want to measure the temperature:

    • CPU: Measures the temperature of the CPU.
    • Sensorboard: Measures the temperature of the sensor board.
    • Illumination: Measures the temperature of the laser board.
    • Sensor: Measures the temperature of the image sensor. The values of this temperature sensor are only updated during image acquisition.
    • Get the value of the DeviceTemperature parameter.

The temperature is returned as a floating-point value in degrees Celsius.

Monitoring the device temperature is important in order to make sure that the temperature state of the camera stays within the acceptable range.
