Transceiver Modules#

Transceiver modules are hot-pluggable accessories that adapt the host ports of Basler interface cards and cameras to a physical network connection. Basler offers copper and optical transceiver modules for different transmission technologies and data rates:

Copper transceiver modules convert an SFP+ host port to an RJ-45 copper Ethernet connection. They are used for GigE data transmission over standard Ethernet cabling.
Optical transceiver modules connect QSFP28 host ports to fiber optic cables. They are used for high-speed data transmission, for example in CoaXPress-over-Fiber systems.
