Payload Formats#

The Basler Vision Connector offers three different payload formats for image data coming from the camera and recipe data. Here is an overview of the payload formats and how to use them:

Images and regions can occur in ZeroMQ and MQTT messages, but they only reference actual image or region data in ZeroMQ, because image and region data is very bulky and would therefore cause too much traffic for an MQTT broker. In MQTT messages, images and regions are only informative. If the actual image data/region data is required, use ZeroMQ.

MQTT:

IE Common Payload Format, used to transfer data of recipes.
Limited Recipe Payload Format without regions and images to transfer data of recipes.

ZeroMQ:

Image Format
Recipe Payload Format to transfer data of images and recipes.
